Run by the Hobart City Council, Bush Kids programs are designed for specific age groups from 2-10 years and include a variety of exciting nature based activities for kids attending with a parent or guardian. All programs cost $5 per child.

Fish For Our Dish
'Fish for our Dish!' Maritime Museum of Tasmania Winter School Holiday Program. This family program focuses on Tasmania's fish and fishermen with craft and a visit to the fishermen's wharf.

The Aquatic Centre runs holiday activities. During the June 2012 holidays they will run SPLASH, 4 - 15 June, Weekdays 11.30am - 3.30pm. Normal entry fees apply or Family ticket $20. *excludes public holidays. SPLASH has floating inflatables for the kids including a giant slide, obstacle course, and the log runner! Holiday Craft Workshops
A range of craft activities during school holidays for 6-12 year olds, Workshops run for 90 minutes and the children will make craft projects on a particular theme. Themes include: scrapbooking, felting, pirates, jungles, fairies, medieval, Aussie animals and more!

Maritime Museum Summer Holiday Program
Learn to Draw Class
Thursday 23rd & Friday 24th January 10.00-11.30 a.m.
Formally trained artist Louis Rodway reprises his popular art class, introducing budding artists to the fundamental skills of drawing and observation, with a simple formula enabling artists to draw ships, pirates, lighthouses, anything! Recommended for ages 9-12.
Place: Maritime Museum of Tasmania, Cnr. Argyle and Davey Streets Hobart.
Communication and Codes at Sea: Morse, Semaphore, Radio and more!
Tuesday 28th - Friday 31st January 2014 11.30-2.00 p.m. Find out how communication at sea has changed over the past 200 years and send your own messages in Morse code and semaphore. Then BYO picnic and join us for a visit to Tasmania’s Coast Radio Station on the Queen’s Domain. Recommended for ages 6-12.
Please note: this programme is split between the museum and the Coast Radio Station on the Domain. Participants will need to provide their own transport from the museum to the Domain. Don’t forget to bring your lunch too!
